Sgt. Tyler Huffman
“It lets me feel like a man again!" said former Marine Sgt. Tyler Huffman, explaing what it means to receive a Ford F-150 truck that has been adapted for use by an amputee or paralyzed veteran. The annual Purple Heart Truck Run, sponsored jointly by the MOPH and the Wounded Warriors Family Support, traverses the country to raise awareness of the need for mobility for our nation's disabled veterans. At the end of the run, the keys to the truck are given to an amputee who is chosen from nominees from every State Department of the Military Order of the Purple Heart.
